Robot Hitches Ride in Hybrid Car, Sets Up Camp on Car Dashboard - browncritheing
Formosan machine-maker BYD took the wraps off its stylish vehicle ahead of the Peiping International Automotive Exhibition, and although at first glance the new machine may expect fairly typical, the Qin (articulate Chin) electric interbred packs in one key differentiator: an on-get on robot.
The coming car's all but unique feature is a robot built into its dashboard that looks strikingly similar to Eve from Pixar movie WALL•E. The robot, which pops out of the scoot when needed, is expected to work as a terminal for communicating with BYD's networking scheme. The BYD 'i' networking scheme controls the vehicles radio internet, emplacemen services and music downloads.
The robot is also purported to sustain spokesperson control and built-in cameras for outback monitoring and portion spot when the vehicles driver is tired, titled 'driver fatigue spotting'.
The Qin will reportedly cost around $30,000 when it launches. We Don River't know much else nigh the Qin's along-board golem nonetheless, but the company says it'll announce more inside information at this week's Beijing Auto Show.
